It’s been a big year for me! 👩🏻💻
I'm pretty introverted both online and offline but I hope that if you see me favorite or boosting your posts, that's me trying my best to engage! I love you all 🫶🏼
My favorite hobby is tinkering with my website and adding little updates here and there. Just added a CSS-only progress bar to my blog posts! Chrome and Edge only (for now) 🛸
Chinese eggplant is one of my favorite things to cook. This recipe is something I know by heart and can cook quickly on a weeknight when I need food for today and leftovers for tomorrow’s lunch. I love adding shiitaki mushrooms to the mix to add some extra vegetables and umami!
I’ve been making this spicy and refreshing cucumber salad every week since the weather started to warm up. It’s easy to prepare and goes well with all kinds of food. I mainly make it as a side dish for Asian-style meals but have also loved adding this on top of crackers and creamy Brie cheese.
I gave an in-person talk about CSS at work for the first time. It was terrifying and incredible at the same time. I'm grateful for my supportive coworkers who loved it!
Favorite under-the-hood things that I've added to my site lately:
1. ♿️ An accessibility menu! You can toggle light/dark mode, increase contrast, and reduce transparency! Still a work in progress.
2. 🌠 Native Markdown images that convert to something fancier with @eleventy magic.
3. 💡 An improved lightbox script. Still not a JS expert but slowly getting better.
4. 🌈 More gradients everywhere!
I’ve been using my iPad a lot more lately. For a while, I was mostly using it as an e-reader and notebook, but lately I’ve been playing games from the Kingdom Rush series and other Apple Arcade apps. I also recently discovered that there are a number of apps for creating your own fonts! Years ago, I read an article about a high school student who sent in his college application essay printed in his own handwriting, and making my own font has been on my bucket list ever since.
I've changed servers ✨

Never actually did an #introduction post so here we go -
I'm a front-end developer currently working on Apple's marketing pages. I like to experiment with CSS and code animations! In my free time, I make jewelry, build keyboards, cuddle with my cat, and keep a couple hundred plants alive and thriving 🪴
Transferred all my domains away from Google Domains and removed Twitter from all my profiles. It’s been a weird day.
This message made me so happy 🥹 It’s nice to know that people still remember my Tumblr themes!
